Victoria Park, Newbury.
Once again, another evening shot. Just around the corner from last night’s image. The boat moorings on the river/canal are just behind me.
I’ve thought about taking this view of Victoria Park, Newbury, for a while now. I like the long, straight path leading the eye into the distance, with the park, boating lake and play park creating interest on the right.
In some ways, it’s a pity about the bins. That “street furniture” problem again! To cut the bin on the left out, would mean cutting part of the first tree out too. That probably would work, but it wasn’t the view I was after. I could Photoshop it out, but then it wouldn’t be an accurate representation. The thing is there, so it might as well feature prominently! It is nicely balanced by the one on the side of the boating lake, anyway.
