Murmuration of Starlings.
When I set out this evening to take my photograph of the day, this was not what I had expected! I crossed the road and then spotted these Starlings in the sky. As I watched them, another group swooped in and added to the number. This is nothing like the scale of what I had the privilege to watch a couple of times over in Sandbanks. There must have been several thousand then. But, this murmuration of Starlings was nonetheless impressive. If anything, it was probably a bit late. Also, whilst the Olympus is good, this is the sort of shot that the Canon would have made a much better job of. However, it is a record of the day and, as such, makes it into the “Hall of Fame”!
