Autumn Colours.
We are moored right at the far southern end of the Oxford Canal. Almost in the centre of the city. Yet, here is peace and tranquility amongst the Autumn colours.
The canal, as we have seen, used to go a bit further. Just behind where this picture was taken, it went under the road to the canal basin. Today, it just stops. Not even a place to turn.
But, towards the end of a dingy day, the sun came out. Just enough to shed its setting light on the tops of the trees. Making the yellowing leaves stand out. Casting a bright reflection amongst the fallen leaves in the canal.
I have used a portrait format to enhance the effect of the canal corridor. To give enough room for the trees and their reflections. Just enjoy the view, and relax.
