Canada Goose.

Swimming near our mooring.
One of the reasons we like this mooring is the wildlife we can watch. This Canada Goose was swimming by earlier this evening. There are quite a few of them on this bit of the river.
There are also several swans and plenty of ducks, including a sole Mandarin Duck. I hope to get a shot of the latter soon!
For today’s image, it was initially just a case of sitting on the bow deck of our boat. However, wild animals and birds don’t always play ball, so I had to get out and move further along the bank.
I got ahead of this swimming Canada Goose, and managed to capture it as it swam by. A fairly wide aperture has got the bird in focus, but throwing the foreground and background out of focus, making the goose the focal point in the shot.
