Horseley Fields Junction.
New and old come together.
Today’s view is where the BCN Main Line and the Wyrley & Essington Canals meet. Above is the former Midland Railway line from Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton High Level Station. Just in front of where the train is there is the railway junction with the line from Walsall and Bescot Stadium. The railway, even now, is very busy, although the Canal at Horseley Fields Junction is relatively quiet.We are probably heading to the end of the dusk and night-time long exposure shots now that the clocks have gone forwards. This shot has a fairly short exposure time as I wanted to capture more of the effect of the train moving rather than a long white trail.
