Fobney Island Nature Reserve.
If you follow our boat blog, you will know that the moorings by Fobney Island Nature Reserve is one of our favourite spots. When you see a scene like this, you can understand why!
The day had been sunny to start with, then the clouds came, and a bit of rain. Once we had moored up, however, a brief thunderstorm ensued.
Come the evening, it was brightening up again. The result was this glorious sky. If anything, I got out a bit too late for the best of it, but the colours are still superb.
A long exposure (2 minutes) has allowed the reserve itself to be bright enough in the picture. The clouds were also moving at a fair pace, which has given this wonderful linear blurring.
Use of the wide angle lens has captured the wilderness effect of Fobney Island Nature Reserve. Take in the view, and relax!
