Good Friday Witness.
Good Friday is a day that many churches traditionally hold a “walk of witness” through a town or village. It is in remembrance of the march of Christ to Calvary.
Today, I have taken my new camera out on a road test. The Canon 5D is excellent but, along with the lenses, it is a very heavy beast. It is also not easy to carry when generally out and about. The Olympus, in comparison, is literally pocket sized. However, the results are still extremely good.
The walk was from the Parish Church (St Nicolas – and yes, that IS how it is spelt!) to the Methodist Church at the other end of the town. It goes along what is now a semi-pedestrianised street. It started with a packed service, and refreshments and ended with Hot Cross Buns. All the town’s churches were represented.
