Greenham Camp Entertainments Block.
Following on from the Chapel blog, this building was pointed out to me by the lady running the National Needlework Archive.
This building had been the former Greenham Camp Entertainments Block. Cinema and theatre productions would have been held in this building during the time that it was an Air Base.
It is obviously likely that this building will not survive, as has been the fate of so many others. I am therefore pleased to capture this shot whilst it is still in use and in reasonable condition. It is currently a Discount Carpet Warehouse.
Other buildings are still in use. I will try and capture more of them in due course so that at least a part of the history of this site is documented.
