Guide Dog Oakley.
Black dogs are notoriously difficult to photograph. However, today the conditions were just perfect. I even managed to get Guide Dog Oakley to look at me!He was doing his duties at a lock on the Hatton Flight. As the boat came up, I saw the opportunity to get a decent photograph. The sun was behind me. Conditions were perfect.
Being just below his level, I was able to look at him as he was looking down at me. Guide Dog Oakley’s fur is nicely highlighted by the early afternoon sun.
The blue noseband is an anti-snaffle device. He is a Labrador, after all!
