Hot Air Balloon over Newbury.
I was just beginning to think about what to take for my photograph of the day. The unusual sight of this Hot Air Balloon passing overhead soon sorted that problem out!
I grabbed the Olympus camera, as that was handy. Leaning out of the window, I quickly banked this shot. Thinking it would be good to let the Canon have an outing, I dug it out and changed the lens.
Even in this short period of time, the Hot Air Balloon had gone some distance further away. It was now too far away to get a usable shot. I therefore put the Canon back, and settled for this image.
Thankfully, the shot came out really well. I am pleased with the composition. It’s nice and sharp, with some added interest with the light dusting of clouds.
With the light behind me, this has illuminated the scene well, allowing a fast shutter speed, small aperture and an ISO of 200.
