Pitchfork Bridge.
Colours & Reflections in the Canal.
This is a scene which is nothing special to look at in the daytime, but is transformed by the colours of the evening. The single yellow street lamp on the right is perfectly positioned to illuminate the area with its colour. The sky is taking on its night time hue, and the long exposure smooths out the canal making it look like a glass mirror. The towpath leading to Pitchfork Bridge draws the eye in.Even to the naked eye, at night there is nothing exceptional about this view. However, the 30 second exposure sees what the eye cannot see, and it takes on a whole new beauty.
