The Mailbox, Birmingham.
A excellent example of new meets old. This is the historic Birmingham & Worcester Canal, with The Mailbox, a modern development, overlooking it.Three tiers of pubs and restaurants are provided wonderful views along the canal. In turn, the canal reflects the colourful lights. A modern bridge spans the canal.
Underneath, on the cobbles in the bottom right hand corner, a narrow gauge railway track is visible. The site was originally a busy canal wharf. Royal Mail build a sorting office in 1970, but it was sold in 1998 to be redeveloped into The Mailbox as we see it today.
