The Happy Couple.
I keep saying I am not a portrait photographer. So I am not quite sure how I got roped into being the wedding photographer for the Happy Couple here.
I have known these lovely people for quite a few years. When they asked me to be their photographer, I was honoured. Not without some fear and trepidation, I have to admit. After all, you only get one chance. At least with digital you have a sporting chance of spotting problems before it’s too late!
So, today was the day. I have taken a lot of photographs. Going through, I am pleased with the results. It was obvious one had to be today’s Photograph of the Day.
I was keen to see how this particular shot turned out. It was one of those spur of the moment ideas. They were standing on one side, enjoying their private celebration, whilst everyone else was ushered out of the way.
I told the happy couple to face each other and link arms. Which they did. I grabbed the shot before they had time to think about posing. Just by looking on the camera screen, I knew I had the image I wanted. A close crop. A couple very much in love. And looking it.
Ladies and Gentlemen. I give you – the Happy Couple!
